How did I Manifest to study french in france when I didn’t have money?

For a long time, I didn’t know that what I was doing had a name. I didn’t know about Hermeticism. I didn’t know the laws of manifestation. But looking back today, I can clearly see that I followed the entire process.

This is the story of how I manifested going to France to study French when I had no money, no contacts, and no clear plan. Only an intention.

The Seed: When the Desire Appears

It all started when I was 20 years old. I was at a random gathering and, for the first time, I heard a group of French people talking to each other. I loved how the language sounded, and it frustrated me that I couldn’t understand it. That was the moment the desire was born within me: “I have to learn French, no matter what.”

However, I did nothing about it. I took no action. I didn’t research. The idea stayed tucked away in a drawer… like a sleeping seed.

The Desire Returns, Stronger

About five years passed. I don’t remember exactly how, but that desire reappeared. This time, it was stronger. I thought that if I really wanted to learn French, the best way to do it was to spend time in France, not just for the language, but for the experience of connecting with the culture.

At the time, I was working as a manicurist. I earned enough to cover my expenses, but not to pay for a trip to Europe. I didn’t have the money, I didn’t have the means, and yet something inside me believed it was possible. So, without knowing it, I began to apply the first Hermetic principle: Mentalism.

I drew the Eiffel Tower on the headboard of my bed and wrote “oh la la” next to it. Not as a simple decoration, but as a symbol, a daily reminder of my desire. My mind was already in Paris; now my body just had to find the way.

I didn’t keep pictures of the original drawing but it was like this.

Action Without Guarantees

I started making plans without having the money. I researched requirements, visas, and possibilities. I discovered I could travel to France for three months as a tourist. Then I found Couchsurfing, a platform that would allow me to stay with locals for free.

Later, I hit a massive wall: banking procedures and the infamous CADIVI.

Context: For those unfamiliar with Venezuela’s history at that time, traveling abroad wasn’t as simple as going to a bank and buying currency. For years, Venezuela had a strict exchange control called CADIVI. To travel or study abroad, you had to prepare folders with immense amounts of bureaucracy and request the government to “approve” the use of your own savings in foreign currency at an official rate.

There were blockades. Many of them. Real manifestation isn’t a bed of roses; it’s a series of obstacles that test your will. At that point, I let go of the desire a bit. I had done everything in my power. I accepted that it wasn’t possible at that moment and trusted that the doors would open later. (Principle of Rhythm)

When the Universe Begins to Move

Right at that moment, some friends convinced me to move back to Caracas (I was living in Táchira). I accepted. That move activated the flow, and that’s where something key happened.

I got a job at a travel agency where my role was to sell language courses abroad. I had a great salary, commissions in dollars, and access to real information. Without directly looking for it, my job became a practical guide for everything I needed to get to France. I discovered I could skip all the bank bureaucracy if I traveled as a student. Five months later, I was enrolled in a French course and had bought my plane ticket. Everything was flowing, and I felt like I was living a dream.

Paris with 600 Euros: the jump to the void

When the travel date arrived, another obstacle appeared: the currency exchange had not yet been approved. I was told I had to wait three more weeks and change my ticket. But I didn’t have the money to do that. So, I made a risky decision: I went anyway. I arrived in Paris with approximately 600 euros and a three-day Couchsurfing reservation.

The Conspiracy of the Universe

The guy who hosted me was going on a trip for a month, and his room was going to be empty. I proposed to rent it from him, even though I made it clear I didn’t have the money yet. He accepted.

Weeks passed. The money still didn’t arrive. They told me I had to keep waiting. When the host returned and I had to give back the room, my new friends (the other guys sharing the apartment) offered to let me sleep in the living room for 8 euros a day… to be paid whenever I could.

I couldn’t believe it. The universe was conspiring in my favor. I am sure of it.

When plan “A” fails, the universe has a plan “B”

After three months, the currency exchange was definitively rejected. I was in debt. But I also had a student visa that allowed me to work. I activated “survival mode.”

I posted ads offering my services as a babysitter. I received some strange calls… but I also found a better opportunity. I got a job accompanying children to their therapy sessions; it paid more and offered stability. Little by little, I paid off my debts.

What was supposed to be a three-month trip turned into a year and a half of French life. I studied. I learned French. Not as I had planned, but the dream was fulfilled. It wasn’t luck. It was the result of putting my will at the service of my vision, not giving up during the low tides, and understanding that the universe only moves when we take the first step.

What I Learned

Today I understand that I didn’t manifest from control, but from coherence. There was intention. There was action. There was a pause. There was trust.

I didn’t always understand the path. But I walked anyway. And that was enough.

🦋 Lessons for Your Own Manifestation:

  1. Define your “Mental Image”: Don’t just wish to “travel”; wish for the destination, the language, the feeling. Write it down, draw it, make it real in your mind first.
  2. Don’t wait to have 100% of the resources: Start with what you have. The path reveals itself while you walk, not while you wait at the station.
  3. Accept the Rhythm: There will be blockades. They aren’t signs that “it’s not for you”; they are tests for your will. If path “A” closes, path “B” is waiting for you.

What about you? What dream do you have tucked away in a drawer? I invite you to do something small today—a minimal physical action—that shows the universe you are ready to start creating.
