The code of reality: The 7 Hermetic Principles of Manifestation

Is reality something solid, or is it a construct of our minds? Discover the ancient technology of Hermeticism to transform your desires into reality.

The illusion of the “Real”

Imagine you’re standing in front of a canvas filled with geometric lines. Your brain tries to impose order, searching for form, depth. However, the physical reality is that they are just brushstrokes of paint.

Our lives function in a very similar way. What we call “reality” is nothing more than our mind’s interpretation of the stimuli it receives. This isn’t a new idea; for thousands of years, great civilizations have studied this phenomenon. Today we know it as Manifestation, but its purest root lies in an ancient tradition: Hermeticism.

What is Hermetism?

Hermeticism is a philosophical and symbolic tradition dating back approximately 2,000 years, attributed to the mythical figure of Hermes Trismegistus. Its aim was not to propose magical rituals, but rather to order and explain the natural laws that govern mind and matter.

The Hermeticists understood that manifestation is not an isolated act or a stroke of luck, but a complete process. For them, the universe is built step by step according to seven fundamental principles.

The 7 Laws of the Master: From Idea to Form

1. The Principle of Mentalism 🧠

“The All is Mind; the universe is mental”.

Everything you see around you (the phone in your hand, the book on your table, the chair you’re sitting on) began as an idea in someone’s mind. Nothing exists in the tangible world without first having been conceived in the mental realm.

  • In practice: The first step to manifestation is to clearly define the “What.” What idea do you want to bring into the world?

2. The Principle of Correspondence🪞

“As above, so below; as below, so above”.

There is total harmony between your inner world and your outer world. Your external reality is a mirror of your state of mind.

  • In practice: To manifest something new, it’s necessary to examine our deepest beliefs and clear away our pessimistic ones. If we internally believe that something is impossible, that belief will be the very command we are issuing. If deep down you don’t believe something is possible for you, your external world will confirm it. The mind creates what it believes.

3. The Principle of Vibration ✨

“Nothing is still; everything moves; everything vibrates”.

Even what appears solid is vibrating at an atomic level. In the world of manifestation, you don’t attract what you want, but what you are.

  • In practice: We don’t attract what we desire, but rather what we resonate with. Our emotions, recurring thoughts, and inner state determine the frequency from which we interact with reality.

Changing your vibration isn’t about faking positivity, but about aligning your beliefs and emotions with the real possibility of what you desire.

Imagine the universe is your social media algorithm. If you interact with complaints and drama, your feed (your life) will show you more of that. Manifesting is about hacking your vibrational algorithm by focusing on what you truly want to feel.

4. The Principle of Polarity 🌓

“Everything is dual; everything has two poles”.

Fear and certainty are not two different things, they are two extremes of the same energy, like cold and heat on a thermometer.

  • In practice: Fear and certainty are not irreconcilable opposites, but rather extremes of the same energy. Manifesting requires learning to consciously move toward the pole of certainty, without denying the existence of fear.
It’s not about eliminating the darkness, but about turning on the light.

5. The Principle of Cause and Effect🌱

“Every cause has its effect; every effect has its cause.”.

“Luck” doesn’t exist; it’s just the name we give to laws we don’t understand. To manifest, you must stop being an “effect” of circumstances and become the Cause.

  • In practice: Wishing isn’t enough; you have to take action. Manifesting means taking responsibility and becoming a cause, not just a spectator. Conscious action is the bridge between intention and experience.
Taking action, however small, is the signal you give the universe that your intention is serious. Taking charge is the beginning of creation.

6. The Principle of Rhythm ⏳

“Everything flows and ebbs; everything has its periods of advancement and recession”.

The universe works like a pendulum. After a high tide comes a low tide. Understanding this gives you emotional mastery.

  • In practice: When you encounter roadblocks, don’t give up. It’s just the pendulum swinging. It’s not a sign to quit, but to pause, redirect, and trust that the tide will rise again.

7. The Principle of Gender 🧬

“Gender exists in everything; everything has its masculine and feminine principle.”.

All creation requires two energies: the Masculine (will, decree, sowing) and the Feminine (gestation, patience, receptivity).

  • In practice: A seed needs time to sprout. Forcing a process is to abort creation. Learning to wait with confidence is the ultimate key to manifestation.

Your Quick Guide to Manifestation

To help you remember these principles, here are the 7 key steps:

  1. 📝Define: What desire do you want to bring into the world? (Mentalism).
  2. 🧹Cleanse: Do you really believe it’s possible for you? (Correspondence).
  3. 💓Feel: Act as if it were already real (Vibration).
  4. 🧭Choose: When in doubt, return to certainty (Polarity).
  5. 👣Take action: What small step can you take today? (Cause and Effect).
  6. 🌊Persist: Don’t give up when things are slow (Rhythm).
  7. Wait: Give the seed time to mature (Gender).

A Challenge for You 💪🏼

I invite you to put these principles to the test. Choose a dream you’ve been holding onto and take a physical action today that “seals” it. Draw it, write it down, or research it. That object or action isn’t magic; it’s a physical reminder of an inner decision.

Remember: Manifesting isn’t magic. It’s understanding how your mind works and learning to create with it.

✨Final Thoughts ✨

Manifesting isn’t about controlling life, but about learning to engage with it. It’s about understanding how the mind works and taking an active role in creating our experience.

When intention is clear, action is consistent, and patience accompanies, the path begins to reveal itself step by step.

Not like magic. But like conscious evolution.
